Man arrested after Bexhill beach attack
An 18-year-old man from St Leonards has been arrested following an attack on a 21-year-old local man in the Glyne Gap area of Bexhill beach.
Sussex Police said he had suffered a violent and sustained attack.
The assault happened shortly after midnight. Police are not linking it to an attack on a 15-year-old boy in the same area on Friday night.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious back and head injuries where he remains in a critical condition.
Sussex Police, who believe more than one person might have been involved in the assault, are appealing for information.
